School allowance

School-aged children who grow up in a lower-income family are entitled to a school allowance. The amount depends on family size and income, and is awarded per school year.

Does your family live in Wallonia or Brussels, but is your child attending a non-income-related childcare facility licensed by the Flemish Community? Is your son or daughter a little older and already attending a primary or secondary school that is recognised or subsidised by the Flemish Community? In such cases, you are also entitled to a childcare and/or toddler allowance and may also be eligible for a school allowance! Submit your application to KidsLife as quickly as possible, and we will do the rest!
