KidsLife: the child benefit fund that seeks happiness for every child
If it was up to them, what would your children do with their child benefit? Watch the KidsLife experiment: it proves that happiness means something different for every child. Child benefit fund KidsLife ensures that parents receive all the benefits their children are entitled to. Because every child deserves happiness.
The existing (federal) system remains in force. However, a number of new rules apply to all children as of 1 January 2019:
- Social allowance entitlement based on (family) income
- Unconditional child benefit entitlement up until the age of 21 for children born from 2001 onwards. This entitlement stops, however, if they receive an unemployment benefit or a salary from employment of more than 240 hours per trimester (with the exception of a student job)
- Orphan's allowance entitlement in case of death on or after 1 January 2019, regardless of whether the parent cohabits or not.
From 1 January 2020, the new (regional) amounts will apply to all children born on or after 1 January 2020..For children born before 1 January 2020, the “old” (federal) amounts will be retained until completion of their studies or up until their 25th birthday.
Please refer to our handy "children's mobile" for a simple overview of the various amounts.
