Social Allowance in Wallonia

In Wallonia, a new Social Allowance scheme comes into force from 2020. Here, too, families on a low income are entitled to this allowance. Families in one of the following 3 situations may be entitled to the allowance:

  1. Social allowance for single-parent families: if you live alone with the children and your income falls between the eligibility limits, then you are entitled to the single-parent allowance.

  1. Social allowance for large families: this allowance applies only to children born after 2020.

  1. Social allowance for low incomes: the income eligibility condition applies for every social allowance. However, even as a large family or single-parent family you may be entitled to this allowance.

You can apply with KidsLife for your social allowance - but you don’t need to. We will automatically check whether you are eligible for this allowance.
